Overview
Mobile.de is Germany's largest vehicle marketplace, hosting millions of listings for used cars, new cars, and demonstration models from thousands of dealerships and private sellers across the country. The Mobile.de Ad API lets you retrieve the complete, structured details of any single listing on Mobile.de in one authenticated GET request, no browser required, no scraper to maintain.
You pass a single parameter: the listing's unique numeric ID, called inner_id. This ID appears at the end of every Mobile.de listing URL and is also returned by the Mobile.de Search endpoint, making the two APIs a natural pipeline. Search for a vehicle profile, collect the IDs, then enrich each result with the full listing data.
What the endpoint returns is comprehensive. Every response includes the full vehicle specification brand, model, year, body type, color, and manufacturer paint name. It covers the engine and powertrain: engine type (diesel, petrol, electric, hybrid), displacement, horsepower, transmission, and drive configuration. Emissions data is fully structured: Euro emission class, CO₂ output in g/km, and fuel consumption across urban, extra-urban, and combined cycles ready to display or filter without any parsing overhead.
Pricing data goes beyond a raw number. The response includes the gross price in EUR, the net price excluding VAT, the applicable VAT rate, and a market rating label good_price, fair_price, or high_price so you instantly know where a listing stands relative to the market without building your own valuation model.
Vehicle history fields are equally detailed: first registration date, total mileage in kilometres, number of previous owners, and next TÜV inspection date. Condition is captured explicitly used vehicle, new vehicle, or pre-registered.
The equipment list comes as a structured array of all options and features declared in the listing, covering everything from leather seats and navigation systems to lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring. Interior design, park assist configuration, and climatisation type are returned as dedicated fields.
On the seller side, the response includes the seller's name, type (dealer, private, or commercial FSBO), website URL, supported languages, opening hours, and a complete rating profile overall score, recommendation score, number of reviews, and how long the seller has been active on Mobile.de.
Finally, the listing's high-resolution image URLs are returned as a structured array, ready to display without any additional requests.
Use Cases
Enriching used car databases with complete, structured listing data.
If you maintain a vehicle database whether for internal reference, resale, or a consumer-facing product the Mobile.de Ad endpoint gives you the full data payload for any listing on Germany's dominant marketplace. Rather than storing fragmented data from a search result, you can hydrate each record with the complete spec sheet: engine output, fuel consumption figures, all declared options, emission class, TÜV date, seller rating, and image gallery. This eliminates the need to re-scrape or cross-reference external sources to fill in gaps. Chain it with the Search endpoint to build an automated ingestion pipeline query for a vehicle profile, collect the IDs, and enrich each match with one API call per listing.
Automotive price monitoring and market intelligence.
Track how individual listings evolve over time. By periodically calling the endpoint with the same listing ID, you can detect price drops, inventory changes, or relisting behaviour. Combine this with data pulled across dozens or hundreds of listings for the same make, model, and mileage bracket to build reliable price benchmarks for the German used car market. The price_rating_label field gives you an immediate signal on each listing good_price, fair_price, or high_price and the net price field (price_eur_nt) lets you calculate margins and compare across VAT-inclusive and exclusive bases without additional logic.
Building car comparison and valuation platforms.
The endpoint returns every field you need to display a complete, compelling listing title, specs, price, market rating, equipment list, seller rating, and images without a second API request. For product teams building consumer-facing comparison tools, this means you can render a full vehicle detail page from a single API response. The structured options array lets users filter by specific equipment, while the emission class and fuel consumption figures satisfy regulatory display requirements in many European markets. Pair listing data with the market price rating to surface the best deals automatically and help users make confident purchasing decisions.
Fleet procurement automation.
Fleet managers and procurement teams define strict acquisition criteria: engine type, minimum production year, maximum mileage, specific body types, price ceiling, transmission preference, and drive configuration. Rather than manually browsing Mobile.de for matching stock, the API feeds a structured shortlist into internal tools or approval workflows. The TÜV date field helps procurement teams avoid vehicles due for inspection shortly after purchase. The number of previous owners and vehicle condition fields support due diligence checks. Seller geolocation data latitude, longitude, and full address enables proximity filtering so teams can source from dealers within a defined radius of their operations.
Powering automotive research and analytics.
Researchers, journalists, and data teams studying the German used car market need structured, reliable data at scale. The Mobile.de Ad endpoint provides a consistent schema across all vehicle types passenger cars, SUVs, convertibles, vans, and more making it straightforward to run cross-segment analysis. Emission class distributions, average horsepower by model year, mileage-to-price ratios, diesel versus electric market share by region all of this becomes accessible without any scraping infrastructure. The structured seller data also enables supply-side analysis: how many listings per dealership, average seller rating by city, concentration of private versus dealer inventory by vehicle category.
