What is malware analysis?

Malware analysis is the study or practise of figuring out the functionality, source, and potential effects of a specific malware sample, such as a virus, worm, trojan horse, rootkit, or backdoor. Any computer program meant to disrupt the host operating system or steal private information from consumers, businesses, or organizations is known as malware or malicious software. Software that collects user data without consent may be considered malware.
