What is security incident response?

The techniques and technology used by an organization to prevent, identify, and respond to security incidents, cyber threats, breaches, and assaults are referred to as security incident response. In order to reduce damage, recovery time, and overall costs, requires a calculated and systematic strategy. An information system's confidentiality, integrity, or availability, as well as the information it processes, stores, or transmits, are all put at risk when a security incident occurs. It could also be a breach of security protocols, security regulations, permissible usage guidelines, or the imminent threat of one.
