What is data extraction?

The process of gathering data from diverse sources in order to alter, store, or feed it to another system for additional analysis is known as data extraction. As it involves gathering information from various sources, including web pages, emails, flat files, PDFs, etc., data extraction is often referred to as data collection. Both structured and unstructured sources can be used to obtain this data.
