What is data loss prevention?

DLP is used by businesses to safeguard and protect their data as well as to adhere to legal requirements. Defending organizations against both data loss and data leakage prevention is referred to as DLP. The idea of "data loss" refers to a circumstance where vital data is lost to the company, such as during a ransomware assault. Stopping the unauthorized transfer of data across organizational boundaries is the aim of data loss prevention.
