Data cleansing, also known as data cleaning or scrubbing, is the process of detecting and correcting (or removing) corrupt or inaccurate records from a dataset. It involves identifying incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, irrelevant parts of the data and then replacing, modifying, or deleting them.
