Data Aggregation

Definition updated on November 2023

What is data aggregation?

The practice of compressing a huge collection of data for in-depth study is known as data aggregation. In its simplest form, it is gathering data from a variety of specified databases and arranging it in a more straightforward manner, typically using total, average, mean, or median references. However, it's crucial to remember that data can be aggregated even if some of its components aren't numerical. For instance, non-numeric data pieces can still be counted.
