Supplier Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct sets forth Piloterr's expectations for all suppliers, vendors, service providers, consultants, and partners involved in delivering our web scraping API platform, datasets, and related services.
Introduction
At Piloterr (WEBAPI GROUP SAS), we are committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We operate a web scraping API platform used by developers, data teams, and enterprises worldwide, and we expect the same standards from every organization in our supply chain. This Supplier Code of Conduct applies to vendors, contractors, infrastructure providers, payment processors, proxy and datacenter partners, software licensors, and any other entity that supplies goods or services to Piloterr ("Supplier" or "Suppliers"). We encourage Suppliers to comply with applicable laws and this Code, and to exceed these standards whenever possible.
1. Labor conditions and human rights
Suppliers must respect internationally recognized human rights, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and applicable ILO principles. Suppliers shall not use forced, bonded, indentured, or child labor. All work must be voluntary, and workers must be free to leave employment in accordance with applicable law. Suppliers shall provide fair wages and benefits in compliance with local laws, prohibit discrimination in hiring and employment, and maintain channels for workers to raise concerns without fear of retaliation, intimidation, or harassment.
2. Diversity, equity, and inclusion
Suppliers are expected to promote fair and equitable treatment in recruitment, employment, and supplier selection. Suppliers must prohibit harassment, bullying, and any conduct that is offensive, coercive, threatening, abusive, or exploitative. All individuals must be treated with dignity and respect.
3. Health and safety
Suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Suppliers must identify and manage occupational risks, maintain emergency preparedness procedures, provide appropriate safety training, and ensure workers can report incidents without hesitation.
4. Anti-corruption, fair competition, and conflicts of interest
Suppliers must not engage in bribery, kickbacks, or any form of corruption. Gifts or hospitality offered to Piloterr personnel must be modest, transparent, and consistent with our internal policies. Suppliers shall not engage in anti-competitive behavior intended to restrict market competition. Suppliers must disclose potential conflicts of interest, including personal relationships with Piloterr employees or contractors, and report suspected corrupt practices promptly.
5. Anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance
Suppliers shall not provide services or enter arrangements that facilitate money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, fraud, or other illicit activity. Suppliers must comply with applicable economic sanctions, export controls, and trade restrictions. Suppliers shall not cause Piloterr to violate such laws.
6. Information security, data protection, and intellectual property
Suppliers that process personal data or confidential information on our behalf must implement appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards consistent with industry standards and applicable law, including GDPR where relevant. Suppliers must protect Piloterr and customer data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss, and use such data only for the agreed purpose. Suppliers shall respect intellectual property rights and ensure that technology, software, and content provided to Piloterr are properly licensed.
7. Responsible operations and environmental practices
Suppliers are encouraged to assess and reduce the environmental impact of their operations, including energy use, waste management, and emissions associated with hosting, networking, and hardware infrastructure. Where Suppliers provide datacenter, cloud, or network capacity used in our scraping infrastructure, they should maintain transparent environmental and security practices and cooperate with reasonable information requests from Piloterr.
8. Ethical sourcing for data and infrastructure services
Suppliers involved in proxy networks, IP routing, datacenter capacity, or data brokerage must operate lawfully and transparently. Residential or mobile proxy sources must be obtained with informed consent and fair compensation where applicable. Suppliers shall not knowingly provide infrastructure or services designed primarily to facilitate unlawful access, credential theft, malware distribution, or other abusive activity.
9. Trust, cooperation, and compliance
Piloterr may assess Supplier compliance through questionnaires, audits, or due diligence reviews. Suppliers shall provide complete and accurate information upon request. If a Supplier has difficulty meeting this Code, we encourage proactive communication at support@piloterr.com so we can work toward remediation. If a Supplier fails to address material non-compliance after reasonable notice, Piloterr may suspend or terminate the business relationship.
